Benjamin Anderson-Ray succeeds Thomas
DELPHI, Ind. -- Chromcraft Revington, looking outside the furniture industry for new leadership, has named Benjamin Anderson-Ray CEO and a member of the board of directors.
Anderson-Ray, 50, is a managing partner of Spring Garden Corporate Advisors, an investment advisory firm with a focus on the horticultural industry. He also is a co-founder and board member of medical equipment developer PALCO Systems.
At Chromcraft he succeeds Michael Thomas, who previously announced his retirement as chairman, CEO and president.
Ray also was CEO of Gravograph New Hermes Holdings, a manufacturer and marketer of equipment, software, goods and related services in the durable marking industry. He led the global business group at durable medical equipment company Sunrise Medical, and has held senior marketing, sales and management posts at Rubbermaid, Black & Decker and General Electric.
Interim Chairman Ronald Butler said Chromcraft Revington was pleased to attract an executive of Anderson-Ray’s caliber.
“I know I am speaking for our entire board when saying we are looking forward to working with Ben as he begins the process of rebuilding Chromcraft Revington,” Butler said in a release. “We believe Ben is the right person to lead the company.”
Anderson-Ray said Chromcraft Revington has growth opportunities despite the furniture industry’s competitive pressures.
“The company has high-quality products, solid brand names, efficient operations and a strong financial position on which to build its future,” he said.
Chromcraft Revington manufactures and sources a full line of residential and contract furniture through the brands Chromcraft, Peters-Revington, Silver Furniture, Cochrane Furniture and Sumter Cabinet.
